WHY WE PICKED THIS BOARD

We picked the Summertime Pt. 2 because it blends a skatey, fast feel with real performance control. It excels in less-than-ideal waves, making it a great groveler for surfers who want to catch a lot of waves but still push hard through tight, critical turns in the pocket. It’s one of those rare high-performance fish shapes that stays playful while still feeling precise when the waves demand it.

ABOUT THE SHAPER

Jason Bennett is a former professional surfer turned master shaper and the founder of Chemistry Surfboards, where he’s been designing and hand-shaping boards since 2002. Rooted in Oceanside and influenced by some of the area’s most respected craftsmen, his boards blend performance, creativity, and a strong connection to California surf culture.
