The Rum Shot is one of Lost Ark's more performance-minded twins. First shaped in 2018 and refined over a couple of years, it has a shortboard-style rocker in the nose and tail, toned down just enough to keep speed through fat sections. Channels add hold, the rounded pin rolls smoothly from heel to toe, and a snubbed nose cuts swing weight without giving up volume. It's a twin fin you can push in real waves.

WHY WE PICKED THIS BOARD

We picked the Rum Shot because it's a twin fin that doesn't back down when the waves get good. A lot of twins are built to cruise. This one has the rocker, the channels and the rounded pin to stay under your feet in punchy surf, and it still carries speed when things go soft. It's also shaped by a local North County shaper, which we love.

Sizing reference from the shaper: he rides a 5'5 x 18 3/4 x 2 3/8 at 6'1 and 155 lbs. This one is an eighth thicker.
