5'7 PINDROPS - LIGHT ORANGE

By Lucas Plese Surfboards

The Pindrops is Lucas Plese's twin fin for when the waves get serious. Wings step the outline down into a pin tail, so you get the speed and looseness of a twin with the hold of a pin when it counts. It's built for critical turns and larger surf, and it's a proper tube shooter. This one is light orange.

WHY WE PICKED THIS BOARD

We picked the Pindrops because most twins tap out right when the waves get good. This one doesn't. The wings and pin tail give it the hold to set a line on a steep face, lay into a critical turn and thread a barrel, and you still get that twin fin speed. When there's swell in the water, this is the one to grab.

ABOUT THE SHAPER

Lucas Plese is a Leucadia-based shaper who learned the craft of both shaping and glassing under the tutelage of renowned board builder Wayne Rich (among others). Living and surfing right here in North County, his boards are dialed specifically for the kind of everyday waves we see around town. His signature Sushi Roll has quickly become a shop favorite for its balance of speed, flow, and versatility across a wide range of conditions. Lucas is also known for pushing creative glass work, often experimenting with unique tints, patterns, and finishes that make each board feel one-of-a-kind.
