The Mid Tri by DIFFRNT Surfboards is a mid-length built around a thruster setup. A low rocker makes it an easy paddler, and the rounded pin tail gives it hold and control, so it's great when the surf gets larger. For anything 3 ft and under, throw in a 2+1 set. When it gets bigger, go back to normal thrusters. This one is a greyish blue.

WHY WE PICKED THIS BOARD

We picked the Mid Tri because it gives you mid-length paddle power without giving up performance when the waves get good. The low rocker gets you in early, the rounded pin holds in bigger surf, and swapping between a 2+1 and a thruster lets you tune it to the day.
